kofi-yakpo education 3I received a Magister Artium in Linguistics, Social Anthropology and Political Science from the University of Cologne with a masters thesis on Bislama, the national language of Vanuatu. I then earned an MBA from the University of Geneva and made a foray into law at King’s College, University of London. 

I was awarded a PhD in Linguistics by Radboud University Nijmegen for writing a Grammar of Pichi, a language of Equatorial Guinea. I then became involved in Postdoctoral Research with a project called Traces of Contact at Radboud University, and spent some time as a Research Fellow at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS). I am now an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at The University of Hong Kong.
